Beth Hicks

Beth Marie Hicks was murdered outside her mobile home on June 30, 2004 in Bourne, Texas. Her assailant, who is unknown, beat her to death with some type of hard item like a tire iron or bat as she was approaching her pick up truck to go to work.

Beth was a probation officer for the Kendall County Sheriff's office and on the morning of June 30, 2004, she was dressed in her skirt and jacket for work. She had her holstered gun in her purse, but she did not draw it. The police estimate that she died about 7:00 a.m. None of her possessions were missing. Neither her truck nor her house were disturbed. When the police found her, her truck door was open and she was lying on the ground nearby. None of her neighbors in the small mobile home park heard anything, but a neighbor in an a house that bordered the park said that he heard a cry or yell about the time of her death. There are no known witnesses.
At the time of her death, Beth was engaged to Army sergeant Dwayne Davis and their wedding was a month away. Unfortunately, Sgt. was not yet divorced from the 3rd Mrs. Davis so that he could be free to make Beth the 4th Mrs. Davis. More information about Beth is available on a web site that her family made, whokilledbethhicks.info
